Frances "Maxine" (Bolen) Ratliff

On December 1, 2017 Frances "Maxine" Ratliff (nee Bolen); born in Carroll County, VA, June 14, 1935; preceded in death by her parents Gladys Webb Franklin and Thomas L. Bolen; her husband Homer P. Ratliff and step-daughter Rita Ratliff; survived by three sons, Dale Warren Sizemore, David Wayne Sizemore, Ricky Duane Ratliff and step-son Terry S. Ratliff; one sister, Edna Ferguson from Mt. Airy, NC; three half-brothers, Dean Bolen and his wife Margaret of Baltimore, MD, Robert Bolen, David Castevens and his wife Kathy of Thomasville, NC; two half-sisters Carol Bolen of Mt. Airy, NC, and Joyce East of Thomasville, NC; also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Ave., on Monday at 1:30 pm. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Interment at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
