Funeral service have become more individually oriented. In order to meet that need and desire, the Connelly Funeral Home Of Essex will provide a dignified response and service which will have a meaningful value to the survivors no matter what the final form of disposition.
During funeral arrangements, we will take vital statistics information required to complete the death certificate, discuss place of funeral service, type of service desired: traditional, cremation, or other alternative, clergy preference, musical selections/hymns, speakers and reading, death notice information, clothing, type of casket, cremation container, urn, type of vault or outer burial container, cemetery or type of disposition, favorite charity, fellowship after funeral service, filing for social security benefits, veteran benefits, and insurance's. |

Traditional Funeral Services
Funerals today have one and two day visiting and or viewing with the funeral service the following day. Appropriately, visiting and funeral service may occur on the same day.
Direct Burial/Immediate Burial does not include viewing or visiting. The funeral service, if any, may take place at the burial site.
Cremation Funeral Services
Direct Cremation - A form of disposition with no visiting, viewing or funeral services.
Cremation with Memorial Service - The service may take place at the funeral home, at your church, or wherever you desire.
Cremation with Traditional Funeral service - This includes a visitation or veiwing with the funeral service at the funeral home. Urns for keepsake and burial of cremains are available for the above services.
