Well Lizzy, you have now gone on to a better place, if the bible is correct. Your funeral procession just now passed by house going toward your house, and I'm very glad I was looking out the window at the time.

Life wasn't easy for you after Harold Died, but just like Mom you were a very strong woman and managed to go out and find a job and take care of your home and family. And that wasn't anything us mothers in those days usually had to do. We were raised to take care of home and family and the husband was the breadwinner. I know it was very scary for you to have so much responsibility at that time in your life. I really admired you being able to manage so well without Harold.
I remember all the Sunday and Holiday dinners we were invited to at your house. Sometimes you had our family along with Harold's family also. You were a lot like Mom, and no matter how many people came for dinner, there was always an abundance of food and you never cared if we brought a friend along with us. Your Lemon Merenge pie was the best!

Being raised in a large Italian family was anything but dull! There was always something going on. We kids had our ups and downs but I do believe we all loved each other deeply and always defended one another to any outsider who might have insulted one of us.

When we were kids there was always shared a love of music at our house, and nothing was more enjoyable then Buddy and his friends playing their guitars and singing songs like "Shanty in Old Shanty Town". Then when Susan learned to play piano, we had a lot of Holidays at my house with Mike and Tommy's family and it always ended around the piano with you leading the singing. When the music played you were always the first one up to dance and sing. Those are wonderful memories and they will be with me til we meet again. Love Landa

Dear Aunt Lizzy,
Oh, how you will be missed!

I envision you now in heaven, gloriously singing, in your loudest voice, with all the saints and angels. What a welcome you must have had!
My best times spent with you were playing the accordion or piano and singing your favorite songs - Cole Porter tunes and Patsy Cline's "Crazy" being on the top of the list.
Steven told me once how he remembered and enjoyed the sing-a-longs at my mother's house on holidays. It really was a lot of fun for me, because everyone in the family liked to sing back then, and I'd spend hours playing whatever songs were requested. But, you, Aunt Lizzy, were the very last to leave my side. I will always remember you and those good happy times. I love you and will miss you. Susan
