On September 24, 2018 Richard "Dick" E. Ashton Sr, devoted husband of the late Connie Ashton (nee Marvin); beloved father of Richard E. Ashton Jr., Connie Montgomery and the late Ronald K. Ashton and his wife Joan; loving grandfather of Christy, Melissa, Tina, Shannon, Crystal and Brian and Jae; cherished great-grandfather of Nathan, Victoria, Zachary, Bella, Mariah, Ashton, Jaelyn, Kayleigh and Raelyn; dear brother of John "Jack" Ashton, the late June Jenkins and the late William "Billie" Ashton. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Avenue on Saturday at 6 pm. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 4-6 pm. Interment private.
