Bruno "Sonny" Joseph Perseghin, Jr.

Bruno Joseph Perseghin, Jr. “Sonny” passed away on September 2nd 2024 after a long battle of illnesses from a severe stoke he had in 2012. Sonny was born in Maryland to Bruno J. Perseghin, Sr. and Margaret Dunnigan. He is the beloved husband of Susan, married for 28 years but together 38 years. Loving father of Beth and her husband John Gibson. Grand father of Georgia and Mack; great grand father of Melani and Shawn Jr. Beloved brother of Joanne and her husband Fran Ernst; Uncle to 3 nieces, Mary Ernst, Kimberly Garland and Diana Ernst.

Sonny attended Patapsco High School graduating class of 72’ Sonny worked at his father’s business Bruno Seafood and Produce Stand. He later when on to work for Shaw’s Carpet Sales, where he branched off into his own carpet business.

Sonny raised and trained beagles with his dad since the early 50’s for the Field Trial Beagles. He and his father had many F.C. Champions. Sonny was a member of the MD Beagle Club and Patapsco Ridge. He was also a chairman at the MD Beagle Club for many years, as well as the director of Eastern Federation.  Sonny also judged field trials all over the U.S. He was only 10 years old when he judged his first trial. He enjoyed both positions immensely.

Sonny had beagling in his blood and it shown in every step of his life.

Sonny will be missed immensely by his very loving family and friends, along with his furry beagle friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Connelly Funeral of Essex, 300 Mace Avenue on Saturday, September 14th, 2024 from 1 - 2 pm. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, September 14th, 2024 from 12 - 1 pm.
