Charles Donald York

Charles Donald York, affectionately known as Donald, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026. He is the beloved husband of the late Margaret York (nee Griffin); cherished father of Michael York and his wife Carol Ann York and Kathy Jackson and her partner Rino D’Alfonso; brother of William York, Jr., Sandra Rinker and her husband Rick, Douglas York and his wife Hedy, David York, Bruce York and his wife Tammy, the late Dorothy Johnson , and the late Carolyn Rasmussen; also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 19 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Connelly Funeral Home of Essex. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30am followed by burial at Gardens of Faith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Donald’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
