Daniel Calvin Harrington

Daniel C. Harrington, 72, of Essex MD, passed away on December 19, 2025. Born on March 23,

1953 in Baltimore City, he was the loving father to Jennifer Harrington.

Dad was hard-working and dedicated. He spent 25 years working as a Baltimore City Fire

Department Mechanic at the Key Highway station.

Though Dad may have liked being the center of attention, he was always available to help a

fellow person in need. Dad was 28 Years clean and sober with the support of Over The Rainbow

and their members in Essex MD. Some of those members are here and sober because of

Daniel’s mentoring. He was a man of many words and advice, and he left a lasting impact on

everyone who knew him.

Daniel loved a good meal, especially his ice cream and Burger King!

He is survived by many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of life will be held with an Over The Rainbow meeting in Essex MD at a later date

in 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alcoholics Anonymous at

, a cause close to Dad's heart. If it weren’t for the support of AA, we

wouldn’t have had the time we had with Dad.

We find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love

he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever. He was truly one of a kind!
