David Edgar Shifflett

On May 3rd, 2024, David Edgar Shifflett passed away. Born on August 24th, 1935 to the late Ruby Ruth and late George T. Shifflett, Sr., he was the loving husband of the late J. Patricia Shifflett and the late Carolyn Shifflett; devoted father of Shirley Bohn, the late David Edward Shifflett, Dorothy Kelly, the late Michael Shifflett, Alanna Miller, Rodney Shifflett and wife Sherry, William Shifflett and wife Lindsy; cherished grandfather of Cristi Brohawn, Steven Bohn, Raymond Bohn, Korynn Elliott, Cody Miller, Kyle Miller, Savanna Miller, Ryleigh Miller, Matthew Kelley, Neal Kelley, Summer Eastridge, Sydnie Shifflett, Brody Shifflett, Autumn Shifflett, Bradley Shifflett, Levi Shifflett, and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and dear brother of the late George Shifflett, Jr. and late wife Shirley, the late Robert Shifflett and late wife Bernice, Doris Smith and late husband Forrest “Smitty” Smith, and the late Joyce Anne Shifflett.

David Edgar Shifflett will best be remembered and missed by all for his devotion and love to his family and friends. Easily described as a true manly man, he enjoyed fixing & restoring antique cars and had a lifelong career of being a master heavy equipment operator. His family and friends were blessed with decades of memories boating, crabbing, camping, fishing, and social gatherings. But where David most shined was in his expression of love toward everyone especially the children.

Visiting will be held on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 from 2 PM to 4 PM and from 6 PM to 8 PM at Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland.
