It is with deep sadness that the family of Delores Seawell, nee Delamar, announces her death on August 20, 2021, age 90. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Trent L. Seawell. Delores was born in Baltimore, MD on August 7, 1931 to William and Jennieve Delamar, nee Gaecklein. Delores spent her childhood on a farm in Oriental, NC. The family returned to Baltimore after her father’s death and her mother’s marriage to the late Bernard Eckhardt, Delores’ dear stepfather. Delores worked as a secretary at the Quaker Oats Company, a bookeeper at Yenni & Block, and as a legal secretary at her husband’s law firm. She loved all animals, especially cats and dogs. Delores was the loving twin sister of the late Gladys (Geri) Bloom, nee Delamar, and her late husband, Harry, and Elmer (Buck) Delamar and his late wife, Donna; cherished mother of David T. Seawell and his wife, Pauline, and the late Trent T. Seawell; loving grandmother of Rachel Seawell Vogel and her husband, Colin, and Trent D. Seawell; dear aunt of Michael and Tommy Delamar, and Laurie Johnson; great aunt of Leanna Delamar, Brian, Mella and Tony Johnson.
Family and friends will honor Delores’ life at the family-owned Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21221 on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM, where a funeral service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
Interment at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery - 4430 Belair Road, Baltimore, MD 21206. A luncheon will follow the burial at Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, 6526 Holabird Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224.
