Ed was born on November 16, 1946, to the late Attilio and Edith (Bartolomei) Cardoni in Plains, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Plains Memorial High School and went on to study Education at King’s College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He later received multiple Master’s degrees in Education from Loyola University Maryland.
Ed moved to Maryland and began his teaching career at the Maryland Hickey School. He was later employed by Baltimore County Public Schools, where he dedicated 44 years as an educator before retiring. He cherished his adventures as the Boy Scout troop cook, spending meaningful time with his three sons. He was a longtime member and lector at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Ed had a great love for Baltimore Orioles baseball and Baltimore Ravens football, as well as golf, cooking, and watching Jeopardy!. He often amazed family and friends with his remarkable ability to answer questions across countless categories.
In his retirement years, Ed enjoyed family dinners, crossword puzzles, watching his grandson Presley, and walking their dog, Bingo. He treasured quiet evenings watching television and cherished phone calls from family and friends and was anxiously awaiting the birth of his second granddaughter, Gianna Lucia Cardoni.
Ed was predeceased by his mother, Edith (Bartolomei) Cardoni; his father, Attilio Cardoni; his brother, Richard Cardoni; and his grandson, Carter Angelo Cardoni.
