On April 2, 2022 Ernest Burton Gravley Jr., 95, passed away. Born in Pocahontas, VA, Tazewell County, October 29, 1926. He moved to Central Virginia in the early 1940's. During World War II, he was in the United States Navy, where he served on numerous ships in the Pacific Theatre. After the Navy, he moved to Baltimore, MD where he worked for Esskay Meat Packing Company until retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Mae Poole and his son Ernest Burton Gravley III. He is survived by his other son, Richard Alan Gravley (Manda), Grandchildren - Joann G. Mix (Brian), Amy G. Neil (Levi) and Shaun Gravley (Adrianne), along with 2 great-grandchildren- Meghan Mix and Sarah Mix.
