On May 7, 2024 Essie "Hattie" E. Burgess (nee Perry); devoted wife of the late William Burgess Jr; beloved mother of William Burgess III and his wife Stephanie, Susan Stevens and her husband Bill, and Natalie Jones and her husband Jack; loving "Nanny" of Sarah, Nicholas, Joshua, Matthew, Rebecca and Preston; cherished "Great-Nanny" of Mackenzie and Mason. Also predeceased by 5 brothers and 5 sisters. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Avenue on Monday, May 13th, 2024 at 12 noon. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, May 12th, 2024 from 5 - 8 pm.
Interment at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
