Eugene “JR” “Gene” Lawrence Kohn, Jr., age 71, passed away at his home in Maryland on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026.

Beloved son of the late Eugene L. Sr. and Eileen A. Kohn (née Murray). Dearest brother of Delann Dempsey (Thomas, deceased), Celene Petkash (John), Eileen Edman, Neil Kohn (Patricia).

JR was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and grew up in the Strongsville, Ohio, area.

Since 2003 he worked and resided in the Washington, D.C. area and retired in 2022.

A private Funeral Service will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, with a Celebration of Life at a later date in Cleveland.

The family requests no flowers and, if you wish, memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
