Gloria Jean (Groft) Novesl

On December 18, 2025, Gloria Jean Novesl (nee Groft) passed away. Born on November 2, 1945, to the late Lawrence Allen Groft and Ellen Virginia. Gloria was the beloved oldest sister to her five siblings, Larry Groft Sr., Linda Sue Root, the late Sharon Hill, the late Catherine Weyant and Thomas Gill III; Loving mother of the late Jeffrey DiGiorgio, Stefanie Smyth, the late Frank Novesl III and Katina Hutchinson; Cherished MeMe of eight beautiful grandchildren, Brooke Curry, Brad Roush, Allen Michael Deese, Kyle and Dylan DiGiorgio, Lorenzo Thompson, Taylor, and Taj Hutchinson II; Loving Ya Ya of Logan and Taigan Johnson, River, Roman, and Isla Roush;  Auntie of many nieces and nephews; Extended family and friend to many.

Gloria was known to many as Glo, MeMe, YaYa, Mama G and Gloria Jean!

She enjoyed traveling, the theatre, baking, crafting, singing, watching tv and drinking coffee. She loved spending time with family and friends. She also adored her pup, Chessie.

One of Gloria’s favorite traditions was watching the Macy’s Day Parade on Thanksgiving Day. New York City was one of her favorite places to be. She loved it so much, in 2001, she had a once in a lifetime career opportunity to transfer to Manhattan with AON. There, she gained new relationships with coworkers that became lifelong friendships then became family.

In another time, in a happier place, we shall meet again.

Rest easy Gloria Jean! We Love You.
