Harold Wingler was born in West Virginia to George Wingler and Sally Wingler, née Miller. He built a life rooted in love, faith, and devotion to family.
He met the love of his life, Shirley, in high school, and they were married shortly after graduation. Their marriage lasted 71 years and was a true testament to commitment and partnership. Together, they had one son, Donald Wingler, who preceded him in death, along with his beloved wife, Shirley Wingler.
Harold stayed active throughout his life and well into his golden years. He loved the outdoors and fresh air and was happiest when he was busy. He was a skilled handyman who was always fixing, building, or lending a helping hand. He dedicated many years of service as a deacon of the church and lived his faith through quiet leadership and steady presence.
Above all else, Harold loved his family. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his life. He took pride in them, cherished time with them, and found joy in simply being surrounded by those he loved most.
Harold was known for his quick smile, often punctuated by playfully taking his teeth out, his sense of humor, and his ability to stir the pot just enough to make people laugh. He was quick with a joke, warm in spirit, and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Ashely, and her husband, Ryan Buxenstein, and by his great grandchildren, Lauryin Braithwaite, Ryan Braithwaite, Ariel Buxenstein, and Andrew Buxenstein.
While his absence is deeply felt, his family takes comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his beloved wife and son. Harold’s legacy lives on through the generations he loved so fiercely and the memories that will be carried forward.
Goodbyes are not forever, nor are they the end. They simply mean I will miss you, until we meet again.
