Jacob Aaron Bond

Jacob Aaron ‘Jake’ Bond, 46, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023. He took his own life to escape the pain brought on by anxiety, depression and physical decline.

Jake was born April 2, 1977, in Xenia, Ohio, son of David Elwyn and Susan Patricia (Jones) Samuel.

He was preceded in death by his natural father, Robert Paul Bond, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Lyde and Col. Felix Henley Jones, Jr; paternal grandparents, Esther and Haydn Samuel; and paternal grandparents, Charlene & William Blackmore.

Jake leaves behind his parents, Susan and Dave Samuel; daughter Bailey Martini; sister Felicia (Zane) Gee, nephew Josh; brother Jeffery Samuel; and brother Scott (Karin) Samuel, nephews Ryan and Zach.

The family will receive friends at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, MD, 300 Mace Avenue on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 1:00  to 3:00 pm and 5:00 to 6:00 pm. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm.
