Jeanette Lorraine (Janda) McCubbin

Jeanette Lorraine McCubbin, 83, passed away peacefully at home in Westover, Maryland, on Saturday afternoon, October 4, 2025. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was the beloved daughter of John and Lorraine Janda of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Jeanette is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Harry McCubbin; her sister, Anna Janda of Farragut, Tennessee; her daughter and son-in-law, Janda and Brent Keenan of Corona, California; and her cherished grandchildren, Chase and Hudson Keenan.

Jeanette was a dedicated schoolteacher at Charlesmont Elementary School in Dundalk, where she retired about 25 years ago. She was also a very talented jewelry artisan. She had a passion for mysteries and was actively engaged in politics.  Jeanette loved her animals very deeply; she now rests in Heaven with her sweet cat named Buffalo. Her vibrant spirit and unwavering commitment to her family will be deeply missed.
