JoAnn C. Cheney

JoAnn C. Cheney, age 92, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023. She was born on May 15, 1931 to the late Frank DiRocco and the late JoAnna DiRocco (nee Amatangelo). JoAnn is the beloved wife of 64 years to the late William H. Cheney; devoted and cherished mother of Cheri Battee, William (Jeanne) Cheney, Michael Cheney, and Dennis (Olga) Cheney; loving grandmother of Jonathan Cheney, Zachary Cheney, and Elena Jochum; great grandmother of Isla Cheney, Quinn Cheney, and Alexandra Jochum; dear sister of Irene Orsini, the late Arthur DiRoco, the late Dorothy DiRocco, and the late Norma Rolison. JoAnn is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Ave, Essex, MD 21221 on Thursday from 3-6pm. A funeral service will take place Friday at 10am followed by interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
