John Alexander Bish, Jr., "Tottie" age 89, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2023. John is the beloved husband of 68 years to Carolyn Bish (nee Brodt); devoted father of Bonnie M. Smith (Tom), Barry K. Bish, Sr. (Linda), and Brenda E. Fischer; cherished grandfather of Gina Maxwell (Shaun), Barry K. Bish, Jr. (Samantha), Allison M. Fischer (James Marsh, Jr.), and Nicholas A. Fischer; great grandfather of Mason Maxwell and Zoey Maxwell; dear brother of Bernice Kotsos (Andrew) and brother in law of Al Kacala; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members, friends, and neighbors. John is preceded in death by his siblings Eleanor Riehl, Jane Yoakum, Rita Mathew, Theresa Franchetti, and Betty Kacala.

A viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Ave, Essex MD 21221 on Wednesday from 1-3pm and 5-7pm. A funeral service will take place Thursday at 11am followed by burial at Garden of Faith Memorial Park.
