John J. O'Conor

John J. O’Conor, Jr., born in Hamilton on January 7, 1943, to the late John J. O’Conor, Sr. and Ethel Marie Fischer. He passed away on August 18, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer that began in April 2017.

John was the beloved husband to Elinor O’Conor, of 40 years; devoted father the late David Patrick O’Conor and daughter, Christine “Chrissy” O’Conor Hardy; loving father of his blended family, Nora Brooks, Cynthia Ewing, Doris Ruby, and Phyllis Isenhour.

John also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren; Lacee Q, Kirsten, Justin, Erick, David Jr, Nicholas, Daniel, Karen, Zachary, Chase, Catherine, Kurt, Matthew, Adam, Jenna and 12 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Essex on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 10am – 12pm. Funeral Service at 12pm.

Following the service, an entombment will be held at the Gardens of Faith Mausoleum located at 5598 Trumps Mill Road Baltimore, Maryland, 21206.
