Judith Nelka Obituary

Judith Ann Nelka, 77 years old of Essex, Maryland, passed away on Monday March 20, 2023 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Riverview.

She was born on August 18, 1945 to the late Harlan Vernon Southwick Sr. and Ruth Virginia Southwick (Brehm).

Judith was an active member of the Back River United Methodist Church. She also loved gardening and taking care of her flowers and plants.

Surviving Judith is her husband of 50 years, Donald Nelka. Also surviving her is her brother Vernon Southwick Jr. and wife Karen, nieces and nephews Dominic Tucciarella and partner Liz Stewart, Amy Tucciarella and partner Matt Seidel, Ariana Booth and husband Tim, Jimmy Tucciarella, Adam Southwick and Allison Southwick and great nephews Nico Tucciarella and Colton Southwick.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Cindy Ruth Tucciarella.

Family will receive visitors and friends Saturday, April 8th, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Back River United Methodist Church, 544 Back River Neck Road, Essex, MD 21221. There will be an 11 AM Memorial Service in Judy's honor.
