Laverne M. Friedel

On December 28, 2025 Laverne Marlene Friedel passed away. She was the devoted wife to the late Norman L. Friedel; beloved mother to Laura M. Rebbel and her husband Charles Jr., Dawn L. Baier & her husband Mark, Diane W. Scruggs and her husband James (Jim); loving grandmother to Charles R. Rebbel III (Bobby), Joshua N. Rebbel, Jacob W. Scruggs (Jake) and Luke J. Scruggs: step-grandmother to Ashley M. Killmayer and her husband Phil; great-grandmother to Mason T. Killmayer; dear sister of Beverly J. Dixon.

Laverne was a very generous person, mother and wife to the love of her life, Norman. They are now both in heaven and reunited together once again.. Laverne enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, going out to eat, playing the slots at the casino and indulging in her favorite passion.....Bingo.

She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Family & Friends are welcome to visit Laverne at Connelly's Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Ave. on Tuesday, December 30th from 2 PM to 4 PM and from 6 PM to 8 PM.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 31st at 11:30 AM, with interment immediately following at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
