It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Cordes, who passed away on May 20, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland, at the age of 79.
Born on May 20, 1947, in Pekin, Illinois, Mary Ann lived a life filled with resilience, creativity, and joy. She spent much of her career working as a parts manager, where her strong work ethic, dependability, and dedication left a lasting impression on those who knew and worked alongside her.
Outside of work, Mary Ann found happiness in life’s simple treasures. She had a true passion for thrifting, always seeing beauty and possibility where others might not. She had a special gift for decorating with thrifted finds, transforming ordinary pieces into warm and welcoming spaces that reflected her creativity and personality. For Mary Ann, it was never about extravagance—it was about finding joy in the little things and making a house feel like home.
Mary Ann will be remembered for her unique spirit, her eye for beauty, and the love she carried for her family.
She is lovingly survived by one son, Craig Woodward; three grandchildren, Hailey, Nick, and Michael; and one sister, Donna Auten. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Though she may no longer walk beside us, the warmth she created, the memories she shared, and the love she gave will remain forever.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.
