Monishwar Jangbahadur Mohan

Monishwar Jangbahadur Mohan, commonly known as Monish or Mukesh, was born to the late Arnold Jangbahadur Mohan and Savitree Mohan in Number 2 village in Canje, Guyana. After a challenging battle with chronic health issues, Monish’s hard fought battle came to an end at 8:40pm on Friday, November 14th. He passed in the hospital surrounded by his wife and children.

Monish is survived by his mother Savitree Mohan, his sister Lalita, and brothers Bhagwandat and Lakeram, his wife Jaamwantie Mohan and his three children Hemish, Devesh, and Aditi. He was the fun and loving uncle of Nathan, Devanie, Narisa, Brandon, Melisa, Emily, Aneisa, Avinesh, Kelly, Sara, Katie, Stefen, and Liam and a good friend and colleague to so many more.

Monish was a family man who always put his family first. He enjoyed watching cricket and football with his family. He was passionate about gardening and he enjoyed building and working on his home. He was very proud of his educational and professional accomplishments including attending University of Guyana to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and attending Johns Hopkins University to receive his Master’s degree in Computer Engineering.

Monish touched many lives with his fun and selfless spirit. We all love him very much and he will be missed by his family and loved ones.
