Phyllis Marion Huebenthal, 74, of Essex, Maryland, passed away peacefully at her home on Dec 9, 2021 with her caregiver and friend, Karen, at her side.
Phyllis is survived by close family, including her Aunt Katherine Williams; and cousins Marie Schuller, Jo Ann Burgess, Patricia Wright, Sharon Jones, Deborah Ray, and Michael Williams. She was predeceased by her cousin John Spencer. She will be remembered by many well loved friends including Rick, Charlotte, Rose, Diane, Deb, Sandy and Shane.
Phyllis was born to the late Philip and Shirley Huebenthal on May 25,1947 in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School in Baltimore, Maryland in 1965 and was a career employee of the City of Baltimore until her retirement in 2010. Phyllis was best known for her love of animals and supported many animal charities and organizations. She was an active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Middle River, Maryland. Phyllis always made sure that people who came to see her left feeling better about themselves, and was never shy with compliments. There were many dogs who were lucky enough to call her house home, including the most recent, Missy and Kattilee.

A memorial mass will be held at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 10003 Bird River Rd., Middle River, MD 21220 on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 at 11 am.
Interment following will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Middle River, Maryland; Helping Up Mission; or Defenders of Animal Rights.
