Ralph Rutledge was one of eight children born to Emerald Rutledge and Reva G. (McKamey) Rutledge and was their last surviving child. He is survived by son, Scott Rutledge; daughter-in-law, Ruth Rutledge; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Rutledge of McDonough, GA, and Mona Rutledge of SoSo, MS; brother-in-law, Al Wisniewski of Essex; step-brother Dan Rutledge and step-sister Judy Watson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was born and raised in Bluff City, TN. After a stint in the U.S. Army, he came to Baltimore for work, married Albina Wisniewski, and lived on Oberle Avenue in Essex most of his life. He was a retired General Motors body shop worker. He loved hunting, crabbing, dancing, country music and was an excellent cook.
He passed away peacefully at Stella Maris Nursing Home.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd from 5 to 7 pm at Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Avenue. The funeral will be Thursday, March 23rd at 10 am also at Connelly's.
Interment will be at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens with military honors at Noon following the funeral.
