Rev. Ralph Jackson McIntyre, 101, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on December 21,2024.
He was born in Double Branch, GA, on August 18, 1923. A son of the late, Summie Jackson McIntyre and
Dessie Bell Towery McIntyre.
He was preceded in death by his wife, B. Frances McIntyre (nee Houston) and his son, Rev. Terry B.
McIntyre. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Lynda McIntyre (Terry’s wife), Karen and her husband
Rev. Steve Cole, Four Grandchildren, Tawana Richardson and husband Scott, Dale Cole and wife Beverly,
Dane Cole and wife Cherise, T. Blaine McIntyre and wife Amber: 8 Great Grandchildren - Jade Mills and
husband Zach, Tristan Richardson and wife Kendelle, Ethyn Cole, Taylor Richardson, Jagur Cole, Gavin
Cole, Emma Cole and A. J. Free and one Great Great Granddaughter, Sage Mills.
Rev. McIntyre was a World War Two Navy combat veteran. In 1957 he was ordained into the ministry.
He founded and pastored two churches in Maryland. He served on the District Board of the East Central
District of the United Pentecostal Church International for eight years as a Presbyter and one year as the
secretary/treasurer. In 1974 Rev. McIntyre was elected as the pioneering District Superintendent of the
Maryland-DC District and served in this position for 14 years. He was an Honorary Board member of
both the Maryland – DC District Board and the UPCI General Board. In 1981 he graduated from Drew
University in Madison, NJ receiving the degree “Doctor of Ministry.” Rev. McIntyre was the author of four books.
A Celebration of Life and homegoing service for Rev. McIntyre will be held at Antioch
Apostolic Church, 1535 Ritchie Hwy, Arnold, Maryland 21012, on Friday, January 10th, 2024 at 11:30 am. Viewing hours will be held
at church from 10:30 - 11:30 am. Rev. McIntyre’s Pastor, David Reever, the District Superintendent of Maryland will be officiating.
Interment at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
