Robert “Bob” Earl Walker, Jr.
Robert “Bob” Earl Walker, Jr., 70, of Rosedale, Maryland, passed away suddenly on April 13, 2025. Born January 3, 1955, in Baltimore to Robert E. Walker, Sr. and Marie Biedenback Walker. Bob lived a life marked by dedication, independence, and a deep love for family and the outdoors.
A proud graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore with a degree in accounting. Bob also earned his commission as a Lieutenant through Loyola’s ROTC program. He served honorably in the Army Reserves and active duty, retiring as a Captain. Bob began his career at C.W. Amos and Company, conducting financial audits for Maryland institutions like Alban Tractor and St. Joseph Hospital. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish a Comprehensive Accounting Services franchise, where he won sales awards, pioneered computerization, and worked alongside his father, Robert Sr., with offices in Rosedale, MD and Washington, D.C. Later, Bob transitioned to a successful career in commercial real estate.
An avid athlete, Bob excelled in lacrosse, football, softball, pickleball, and karate. Bob played an active role in all his sons sports, especially coaching his sons in Overlea lacrosse club. He also cherished time spent outdoors, often fishing or relaxing by the water, finding peace in nature’s beauty.
Bob married Donna Serena in 1980, raising three sons, Ryan, Scott, and James, before they later divorced. After many years as devoted partners, Bob married his longtime girlfriend, Cynthia Ann Yates (Cindy), in 2018. Their deep bond, built on years of shared love and companionship, brought immense joy to Bob’s later years.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Marie, and sister, Deborah Walker Decker. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy; ex-wife, Donna; sons, Ryan (Megan), Scott, and James (Lauren); granddaughter, Peyton Michelle Walker; and many cherished friends and relatives.
A funeral service will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Avenue, on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 11 a.m.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m.
Entombment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
