Steven J. Pomeroy

Steven James Pomeroy, 66, of Berryville, Virginia, died Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in Commonwealth Senior Living at Berryville.

Mr. Pomeroy was born February 21, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland, son of the late Carroll Pomeroy and Anna Mae Rexroth Pomeroy.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator with Bethlehem Steel based out of Sparrows Point and was an avid Volunteer with the Red Cross in later years.

He was of the Catholic faith.

His wife, Mary Anne Bremer Pomeroy preceded him in death on July 26, 2006.

Surviving are his daughter, Marcie Fairbanks (Jeffrey) of Berryville, VA; four grandchildren, Cynthia, Barbara, Jefferson, and Christian; and a brother, Patrick Pomeroy (Barbara) of Baltimore, MD.

His brothers, Michael Pomeroy and Carroll Herbert preceded him in death.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Connelly Funeral Home on Mace Avenue in Essex, Maryland with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 AM immediately followed by a Celebration of Life service.

Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Baltimore, MD.
