Sylvia M. (Wright) Saunders

Sylvia Marie Saunders was born on November 18, 1948 in Murfreesboro, NC to the late Jimmy and Josephine Wright. She departed this life on March 7, 2024 after a brief illness to be with the lord.

Mrs. Sylvia received some education at North Carolina School. She received Christ at a young age at Parkers Grove Baptist Church.

Sylvia was very special to all she came in contact with. She was described by others as a sweet, humble and caring person who was always concerned about others, and she served with a smile.

Mrs. Saunders was a "Jewel" and will be missed by all.

Sylvia was preceded in death by; her husband, John Harrison Saunders Sr; 3 sisters, Bernice Wright, Louise Davis, and Virginia Wright. She leaves to cherish fond memories; 2 sons, John Harrison Saunders Jr, and Michael Jermaine Saunders, all of Baltimore, Maryland; 1 daughter, Chanina Marie Saunders of Baltimore, Maryland; 6 grandchildren, Therone W. Jones, Kenneth D. Cole, John H. Saunders-Hoyt, Aaliyah D. Powell, Michael Saunders Jr and Gavin Saunders; 8 great-grandchildren, Isis Jones, Empress Jones, Zion Jones, Zamora Jones, Kenneth Cassious Cole, Sierra Saunders, Kiana Saunders and Stephen Saunders; 2 sister-in-laws, Ethel Prioleau and Joyce Saunders, and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and dear friends.
