Vernie Rosemarie (Smith) Jones

On Friday September 25, 2020 Vernie Rosemarie Jones (nee Smith) passed away; devoted wife to the late Robert Ellis Jones; beloved mother to Douglas Edward Jones and his wife Amy, Nancy Marie Cole and her husband Brent and the late Clinton W. Jones; cherished grandmother to Anthony Jones, Chris Cole, Lindsey Misterka, Justin Jones, Brian and Stephen Calvert. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren .

Mrs. Vernie was a good Christian who was very active in her church and willing to help out when needed. She loved to bake and cook for her family and friends and was fond of Arts & Crafts. her deepest love was her family.

A funeral service will be held at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Avenue on Wednesday September 30th, 2020 at 10 am. Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 29th, 2020 from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm.

Interment at Sacred Heart of Jesus
