I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Tuula and even more confused that I did not know she has lost her husband. Tuula was a sweet woman and when I first starting working for MCHP my brother passed and she was the only person in the department who came to his viewing because that is the kind of person she was. She really loved her family and my sincere condolences go out to each of you.

TUULA AND I WORKED TOGETHER FOR SEVERAL YEARS. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL CARING PERSON WITH A BEAUTIFUL HEART AND SOUL. SHE WAS UNFORGETTABLE IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD. HER FAMILY WAS EVERYTHING TO HER. I THOUGHT OF HER AS A REINCARNATE VIKING GODDESS. PERHAPS THE MOST TELLING THING ABOUT HER GENEROUS AND LOVING SPIRIT WAS THE FACT SHE GREW HER LONG BEAUTIFUL SCANDINAVIAN BLONDE HAIR TO A GREAT LENGTH ONLY TO CUT IT OFF FOR DONATION TO THOSE WHO MAKE WIGS FOR CANCER PATIENTS. ALL I CAN THINK IS GOD WANTED TUULA HOME FOR CHRISTMAS. GOD BLESS LOVELY LADY.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Tuula's passing. What a wonderful, remarkable, enigmatic lady. I got to know Tuula a bit when she worked at Drumcastle in WIC. Always cheerful, sweet disposition, hard working. She had a vibrant personality that drew others to her. What a terrible loss to your family. I will always remember Tuula in my prayers and I will never forget her. Tuula is truly unforgettable. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I first met Tuula when we worked together at Rec & Parks and we worked with her again at the Health Dept, but my most cherished memories come from our time together driving the County van pool. She kept us entertained every morning and afternoon. I will never forget her stories - she always had us laughing until we cried. The frozen cat on the beltway came right to mind. There were several times I had to pull the van over because I was laughing so hard I couldn't see to drive! What a beautiful person she was and she had the biggest heart of gold around. She truly loved her family, but once you became her friend - you were part of her "family" too. May you rest in peace, dear Tuula - you will certainly be missed by many. My deepest sympathies to her family. Donna (Harris) Eads

I worked at the Health Department with Tuula. What a truly wonderful person Tuula was. I remember she grew her beautiful Scandinavian hair only to cut it and donate it so that those enduing chemo could have a wig. Then she would start all over again. My deepest sympathy to her family, she will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.

I didn't work with Tuula directly; we just worked within the same department. She always had this huge smile on her face. Always! And she loved wintertime ...... I am truly sorry for your loss. Know that all of you are in my prayers. maria

Tuula was my mother in law for 15 years. I have to say that she had a heart of gold. It kills me to know she's gone. But I know she's with her soul mate now. They will always have a fond place in my heart. They will be sorely missed.

Tuula had the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met. She took great joy in learning I was expecting my son and she made a beautiful scrapbook for all of his firsts. She was supportive, kind, loving, hilarious - everything you could ever hope for in a friend. I was lucky enough to work with her. I'll never forget her taking a call and trying to speak Spanish or explaining a case manager's name (Sexton) to a client as "You know, sex, and there's a ton of it." She will truly be missed.
